One of the criticisms of the GeoPhone is that some have pointed out it does not distinguish between live people or dead. I offer the possible value for the Geophone on an investigation as a 100% accurate indicator.

Since it is sure to detect live people walking about, a couple of these installed at strategic locations could be used to indicate that living persons or some animal is moving about. This would be it's primary value. If sounds or paranormal activity is being detected and the GeoPhone is not going off, then it has a value in that it at least indicates that a living person is not likely to be in the area. Using overlapping evidence gathering techniques, I would see this as a powerful verification tool in this sense. Again, the site and the make up of the environment are key indicators for when to use the tool, but I do think this has a place in the toolbox for specific circumstances.
